OUR STORY

Against the Distance Some love stories begin with a spark. Ours began with a test.

For two years, oceans, time zones, and phone screens stood between us. We learned to love each other through late-night calls, frozen video chats, missed flights, and countdowns that never seemed to end. While other couples held hands, we held onto hope.

There were days when the distance felt unbearable. Days when all we wanted was a simple hug after a difficult day. Instead, we sent voice notes, photos, and messages saying, "I miss you," more times than we could count.

Yet somehow, the distance never broke us. It taught us patience. It taught us trust. It taught us that love is not measured by how often two people see each other, but by how fiercely they choose each other when it would be easier to walk away.

When the distance finally ended, we thought the hard part was over. We were wrong. The next years still brought challenges we never expected. Building a life together was not always romantic. There were financial struggles, uncertainty, sacrifices, long workdays, disappointments, and moments when the future seemed unclear.

We grew not because life was easy, but because life was difficult. Every obstacle forced us to become stronger. Every setback taught us resilience. Every argument taught us understanding. Every victory, no matter how small, reminded us why we started this journey together.

We watched each other change. We chased dreams, made mistakes, learned lessons, and supported one another through every season. We were no longer the same people who first met across the distance. We had become better versions of ourselves because of what we had endured together.

The greatest gift was not that we found love. The greatest gift was that we kept choosing it.

A few years later, when we look back, we do not see the miles, the hardships, or the struggles. We see two people who refused to give up. Two people who believed that what they had was worth fighting for.

Our story was never perfect. It was real. And that is what makes it beautiful. Because true love is not the absence of challenges, True love is growing through them, side by side, year after year, until the life you once dreamed about becomes the life you are living together.
